Last week it was my pride, privilege and delight to contribute illustrations for the Many Olgilvy Hands Mini Secret Art Sale, set-up by my friend Alex Ririe and her colleague Leia Baker. The event raised money for the Many Ogilvy Hands charity which is a long term project set up to help build a secondary school in Uganda. It was ‘Mini’ because most artworks are postcard-sized. It was ‘Secret’ because buyers didn't know the artist until they purchased the artwork. All pieces were displayed anonymously and are signed on the reverse and it was an ‘Art Sale’ because buyers could purchase original art and limited edition prints by some of the UK’s leading artists, illustrators and photographers, as well as amateur artists and design industry professionals. The sale raised over £2K!
WELL-DONE ALEX AND LEIA!
Big thanks to Laura at Genie for printing and sending my postcards. To find out more about the sale click here.
My very good friend and old house mate Nicholas Morgan came to Singapore last week to take part in the 2011 Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore Triathlon. I really enjoy going to support him in his sporting events; the atmosphere is electric and I'm always amazed at what these athletes rise to. This provides me with great material for some smashing shots!
It's been a while since my last post. So much to do here in Singapore! I'm a year older since I last blogged. Here is a cake illustration to celebrate another year of life. Illustrated cakes are the best... hardly any calories!
The red dot design museum in Singapore is the home of the red dot design awards. The huge former Singapore traffic Police Headquarters now houses the sensational and stunning exhibition of the glorious and victorious design awards winners. The gift shop is full of little gems; I've got all of my Birthday, Wedding and Bar Mitzvah presents covered for a year or two!
